“Respect and understanding equal success”
We are a consulting and advocacy service for people with disabilities regarding “best practice” procedures in educational settings, the work force, and communities.
Although our expertise in special education has focused on students with learning disabilities or those on the Autism Spectrum, we also assist students, parents, and adults with other disabilities as well. We offer academic coaching paired with educational strategies for school success, private tutoring especially for math and written expression, preparation for ACT and SAT tests for those college bound, and social skills consultation for friendship building and collaborative work relationships.
Our advocate, Kathie Pontikes, Ph.D., has over thirty years of special education experience. She conducts full IEP (Individual Education Plan) reviews, recommends effective educational planning, and evaluates procedures in accordance with IDEA and Section 504 of the American Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as implements ADA guidelines for service dogs and emotional support animals. As your advocate, Dr. Pontikes will be your voice in school conferences, IEP meetings, Due Process hearings, public facilities, and the employment arena.
